PHILLIPS – There will be an Economic Revitalization Organizational Meeting at 6:30 pm, Monday, August 30, at the Phillips Community Center on Depot Street in Phillips. All interested persons are invited to come talk about the future of Phillips, including the acquisition and relocation of the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad from Portland to Phillips, creating business and job opportunities, and preserving the town’s heritage.

“We need you and your ideas,” members of the Steering Committee stated, “Things are just getting started. Help us guide economic growth in the right direction.”

Steering Committee members are Matt Sharp, Margaret Cosenza, Janet Bredeau White, BJ Bangs, John Stinchfield, and Nancy Morgan. They hope to include as many perspectives as possible in planning for the future of Phillips. Anyone and everyone are encouraged to attend and share your thoughts on this important topic.

Phillips is on the move. This is the chance to get on board and help “run the train.”
