City Lights North summer camp signups June 19 & 20

FARMINGTON – Registration for the City Lights North free summer camp will be held June 19 and 20, from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Classes are held daily starting on June 20 and ending July 5. The second summer camp second will be held the last two weeks of August. The camp is free to all children of Maine, but it requires hard work, said City Light director Duggan Hill.

The following City Lights Performers will teach daily master classes: Tisleen, Tiara, Nicole, Greg, and Krissie

Camp Schedule: 8am to 9am dance and theatre and voice program for 4-year-olds (a parent must take the class with the child); children’s master fencing class from 9 am to 10:30 am; children’s master dance class 10:30 am to noon, all dance styles covered, funk jazz hhop modern classical and Native American dance. Lunch break; Company Master Rehersal 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Duggan Hill will be directing all classes and teaching the Sabre fencing classes. Also, another major mural project will be ongoing and directed by Graffer, Monk (Mathew Clark) who directed 10 children in the painting of a mural depicting the hills that surround Farmington painted on the four walls of our Odd fellows Ballroom, here at 231 Broadway. Monk’s team will be completing the evening sky to this large mural during this year’s camp.

The Camp will result in a final performance. We will also have guest teachers during the Camp
among them uprocker Megatron breaker BBoy Float, DJ Beyonder and vocalist Jim Ryan

City Lights is located in The old State Theater’s second floor at 231 Broadway, Farmington.
