FARMINGTON – Emma and Ben Lively would like to congratulate Molly Flanagan for being the seventh recipient of the Lively Arts Award. The Lively Arts Award is an annual $250 cash gift to a graduating Mt. Blue High School senior, recognizing enthusiasm, discipline, and promise in music.

A musician known for her intelligent leadership and generous spirit, Molly has performed as a cellist with the Mt. Blue High School Orchestra and the Franklin County Fiddlers, and sung with the Mt. Blue High School Chorus, Syncopations, and Mt. Blue Voices. She will attend the University of Maine this fall.

Past recipients of the Lively Arts Award include Laura Crowley (2008), Rylee Doiron (2007), Malina Dumas (2006), Lee Fellman (2005), Tom Aseltine (2004) and Jason Ramsey (2003).

Sister and brother, Emma and Ben Lively created the award to give back to a community that supported them greatly in their musical endeavors, and to recognize talented young musicians and encourage them to continue to pursue their dreams. Emma (MBHS class of 1991) and Ben (MBHS class of 1995) are now both professional musicians living and working in New York City.
