Franklin Savings Bank gave a $750 grant to the Rangeley Friends of the Arts to help support their Student Program which benefits the Rangeley Region students.

The Rangeley Friends of the Arts’ School Program brings artists, musicians, theater groups, and specialists in movement and dance to the students of Rangeley Lakes Regional School throughout the year. Presentations were given this spring by Margy Burns Knight (children’s author) and Margaret Wescott (professor of creative dance and movement at University of Maine in Farmington). A student was enabled to attend a weekend workshop at Haystack Mountain School of Arts and Crafts. The Theatre at Monmouth will be performing The Diary of Anne Frank this year and plans are being made for the high school students to attend a performance.
