FARMINGTON – David Randall of Wayne will be the SugarWood Gallery’s featured Artist of the Month in July.

‘Contemplation Ending’

David says “I have been making sculpture for forty years and during this time I have experimented with many different styles and materials. I began making welded sculpture at the age of fourteen from pieces found at the local junk yard and as a kid was always taking things apart to see how they worked, then putting them back together to see what I could come up with. My high school art teacher nurtured my interest in making things out of junk, a technique known as “found object” art. I attended Boston University where I received intensive training in the human figure by creating life-sized sculptures in clay and taking drawing classes.“

David’s work was recently shown at the Unity Center for the Performing Arts and he currently has an ongoing exhibit at Maine Glass Art, 53 Main St., Lisbon Falls.

SugarWood Gallery is located at 248 Broadway in Farmington. Hours are 10 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
