FARMINGTON – The local Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new chief this week, after the executive director announced her intention to leave the position next month.
Franklin County Chamber of Commerce board vice president, Scott Landry, confirmed today that Lorna Dee Nichols, the chamber’s executive director, had given notice she would be leaving the organization’s employ next month to pursue another business interest.
The chamber is advertising the position vacated by Nichols, whose work at the chamber has included assembling the annual FCCC Welcome Guide and a number of local events, including the End of Summer Hoorah. The chamber’s advertisement for the position can be found here.
Nichols, who is assembling this year’s Chamber Welcome Guide, as well as preparing for the transition, preferred not to comment on her resignation.
