FARMINGTON – Western Maine Community Action Health Services, the family planning program of the tri-county area announces the establishment of walk-in services at all four locations. WMCA Health Services now accepts walk-in clients any time they are open at their locations in Farmington, Lewiston, Norway, and Rumford.

“Up until now, clients either needed to make an appointment or walk-in during specific days and times,” said Sara Hayes, WMCA’s Health Services clinical director and nurse practitioner. “We find that many people have very busy, hectic lives and they can’t always plan ahead. We made the decision to accept walk-in clients whenever we’re open because we want to make sure people get the care they need.”

The program offers a wide range of family planning and reproductive health services including birth control, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, and routine physical exams.
