The presentation will be held on Wednesday March 23, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m., in the Bass Room of Franklin Memorial Hospital.  The presentation launches an initiative to plan and create a Franklin County brand. The session will provide case studies and planning information on best practices needed to create a local brand. The public is invited.

Jim Cox has 40 years experience in brand strategies, earned national recognition for his work with clients in developing unique and authentic brands that generate successful marketing for locations such as Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Vernon, Monterey County, California, and the Islands of Tahiti.

The presentation was made possible by generous contributions from Bangor Savings Bank, Franklin Savings Bank, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Franklin Memorial Hospital, the University of Maine at Farmington, and an anonymous donor.

The presentation is sponsored by the Franklin County Economic Development Network, an informal group of civic leaders from a broad cross-section of organizations who are working together to promote the economic well being of all of Franklin County.

An effective regional brand for Franklin County will be inspired by all of its products and services including agriculture, tourism, sports, art and culture, business and technology, healthcare and education as well as the general lifestyle of its citizens. It will capture the unique essence of the County and guide persuasive verbal and visual communications to attract people and businesses.
