FARMINGTON – At Smart Fun Learning Adventures, centers are a key component of the educational experience.

In a balance of child-centered and open-framework approaches, both the child and the teacher initiate activities where exploration and learning take place. In this newly renovated facility, centers cover subjects such as math, science, reading, writing, music and dramatic play. There is also a large, fenced in yard for activities supervised outside. Sheena Thomas is in charge of guiding the children’s educational experience. Mrs. Thomas holds a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and has teacher certification for Grades K-3.

Smart Fun Learning Adventures is now receiving registrations for their opening day of January 4, 2010. The PreK program is taking 4 year olds and 5 year olds who have not yet started kindergarten. Class will be held two days a week on Monday and Thursday mornings. Expansion plans include adding a kindergarten program in the fall of 2010. Registrations will stay open until the available spaces are filled. Scholarship money is available. If you would like more information please check out the website at www.freedomrains.org/smart or email Mrs. Thomas at sheena@freedomrains.org. You may also call 779-7117. We are located on Rt 4, two miles north of downtown Farmington.
