FARMINGTON – A workshop titled, The Art of Display: Beautiful Windows and Intriguing Interiors will be held 7:45 am – 9:00 am on Wednesday, April 27 at the Homestead Restaurant.

Please join the Farmington Downtown Association for this informative workshop led by Linda Edgerton, CMSM of Edgerton & Company. Edgerton will lead participants in an interactive presentation which addresses ways to creatively engage the public and get them in your door! This workshop uses low-cost and effective window display techniques and is appropriate for a wide audience, including retail, restaurants, service businesses, and non-profits.

Edgerton is certified in Main Street Management by the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Main Street Program. She has 15 years in retail management in historic downtowns, including the Old Port and Saco, Maine. She spent eight years as the executive director of Gardiner Main Street, and helped bring about many successes there. Edgerton launched her own consulting firm in 2008 and is currently working with Sanford Downtown Legacy.

Immediately following the workshop, Edgerton will be available for pre-scheduled half-hour consultations for five businesses at a cost of $25 each. A sixth business will be eligible for a door prize – a FREE half-hour consultation also conducted after the presentation which will be drawn at the beginning of the workshop.
