Enjoy a 3-day fly fishing experience led by our own Dr. Bill Richards, a Master Registered Maine Guide!
- Day 1: Introduction to the “Art of Fly Fishing” – A little history of the Rangeley Region. An overview of fly fishing equipment and its application. Demonstration of the “overhead cast” and proper body position, fly rod grip, and mechanics and begin to practice your skills with Coach Bill. Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Day 2: Student Practice Sessions – Coach will offer feedback and constructive tips to help improve and perfect your cast. Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Day 3: Guided Fly Fishing from a Canoe. Get an early start for a full morning on the water! Time: all morning
Cost of this 3-day, immersive experience: $280, including lunch on days 1 & 2 and breakfast on day 3. All fishing equipment is provided, including a rod, boat, & other equipment.
*Participants should be able to paddle a canoe to participate in this program*
*Fishing license applications will be filled out for those who need on Day 1 of the course, cost of license not included*
*Participants should be dressed to spend the majority of the time outdoors.
