“Fiber, Color and Words” a personal reflection from 10 diverse viewpoints presented by Central Maine Artists Gallery from November 14th to December 23, 2021 . At
Ten fiber artists and one wordsmith created works around the 3 random words – winter, container and mending. Each presents a personalized viewpoint of meaning and context through their chosen medium. The varied work of the group spans fiber techniques used in both 2 and three dimensions. Mixed media art quilts, beading, weaving, dyed and embellished works as well as basketry can be viewed.
The group show is comprised of works from the following artists: Elizabeth Hunter, Jill Snyder Wallace, Mary McFarland, Nadine Villani, Nancy Donker, Peggy Lovejoy, Sally Hilmer, Dina Jeannotte, Amanda Slamm, Kala Ladenheim and MaryAnn Anderson.
