For Immediate Release: On March 31st, 2023 REALTORSⓇ, Affiliates and friends of the Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors will kick up their heels in the 9th Season of “Dancing with the Realtors” competition and fundraiser. Our Dancers will have trained for 10+ weeks to compete at this crowd-pleasing event, which will be held at The Calumet Club in Augusta.  The dancers have been learning the Cha Cha, Tango and for our more seasoned dancers, The Viennese Waltz.  They will be competing for trophies and bragging rights in each category, and one dancer will also be honored with a “most improved” trophy!   Their dancing skills will be scored by a team of 3 judges, 2 who are seasoned professionals and friends of the event, and the 3^rd seat will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Live and silent auctions will also be held, with all proceeds to benefit the Waterville Area Habitat for Humanity and Western Maine Community Action in Franklin County. In the past 8 seasons, we have raised over $150,000 for our charities. Our goal this year is $25,000! Refreshments will be served throughout and there is also a cash bar.  Mike Violette of The Score, Central Maine Sports Radio is co-host, and music for the cocktail reception from 6-7 will be provided by the Snow Pond Academy for the Arts Jazz Ensemble.  Doors open at 5:30pm.
