September 22 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

free

The Readfield Community Library and the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library in Mt. Vernon are partnering to offer patrons and area residents an opportunity to participate in a free “Fix-A-Bike” Workshop, with instruction provided by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine. This 2-hour hands-on workshop, open to teens and adults, will cover routine maintenance, roadside repairs, general bicycle mechanics, and how to perform a basic tune-up. Please bring your bike along! All tools and instruction will be provided.

Two workshop times/locations will be offered on Wednesday, September 22. From 2:30-4:30pm, a workshop will take place outdoors at the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library in Mt. Vernon and a second workshop option will take place from 5:00-7:00pm at the Readfield Community Library in Readfield, also outdoors.

There are 6 openings for each workshop time; register for the workshop site and time that works best for your schedule, regardless of the town you live in. To register for the Mt. Vernon workshop, call 207-293-2565 or email – librarian@drshawlibrary.org. To register for the Readfield workshop, call 207-695-4089 or email – librarian@readfieldmaine.org.
