Norlands Civil War Weekend

Washburn Norlands Living History Center 290 Norlands Road, Livermore

The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore is hosting its Civil War Living History Weekend on October 9 and 10, 2021.  This family-friendly event features a wide variety of demonstrations, exhibits, and engaging activities remembering the activities of the Civil War. It is co-organized by the 3rd Maine Company A and 15th Alabama Company G to benefit Maine’s premier living history farm and museum. Union and Confederate military and civilian reenactors from across New England will be camped on the grounds. Walk through the encampments to experience what life was like for soldiers. Cavalry units are also planning to attend.

Mono print image transfer workshop

Twice Sold Tales 155 Main Street, Farmington

Two Imagine Studios in collaboration with Twice Sold Tales will be holding a private mono printing art workshop on Oct. 10. This event will be limited to 10 people. Pre-registration and masks will be required. Supplies will be provided and each participant will walk away with a colorful, unique piece of art for framing and hanging at home. Fee to register car $5.00.  Cash prizes - 1st $100., 2nd $50.00, 3rd $25.00  Hope Chernesky will be on Fiddle.  Food for sale: Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers. French Fries, Root Beer Floats, Whoopies, Soda and Water. 50/50 raffle.  Come and have fun.  If rain cancelled for this year.
