“Fiber, Color and Words” a personal reflection from 10 diverse viewpoints presented by Central Maine Artists Gallery from November 14th to December 23, 2021 . At Ten fiber artists and one wordsmith created works around the 3 random words – winter, container and mending. Each presents a personalized viewpoint of meaning and context through their chosen medium. The varied work of the group spans fiber techniques used in both 2 and three dimensions. via ZOOMThe RSU 9 School System is continually looking to improve its practices in order to best meet students' needs in this ever-changing world. Right now our school system is re-establishing a vision for our school system, our future direction! This fall we are collecting ideas from as many community members as possible. In the winter we will put the ideas together into a vision that will guide all of our future work. By spring we will draft a multi-year strategic plan that will define how we will move toward our vision. Once completed we will conduct regularly scheduled progress checks

Internationally acclaimed, award winning celtic band, Coig returns to Old South First Congregational Church, UCC on Wednesday, December 15th for the annual Christmas Benefit Concert! Our beloved Cape Breton, NS based band will bring holiday cheer as we raise money for the FAEM Ecumenial Heating Fund that will help our neighbors in Franklin County heat their homes this winter during their 2021 Maine/New England Christmas concert tour. Guest musician, Thierry Clouette (guitar and foot percussion) will be joining Chrissy Crowley (fiddle), Rachel Davis (fiddle, and Darren McMullen (multi-instrumentalist) for the Christmas tour.
