Storytelling workshops continue

Have you ever wished you could keep a crowd on the edge of their seats with a good story? Well now is your chance! The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has received a Discovery Grant from the Onion Foundation to host Storytelling Workshops. The workshops will be held twice a month with an opportunity to perform monthly. Come craft your story with our favorite funny man, storyteller extraordinaire and RLRS English teacher, Tim Straub. Participants should come to the workshop with some ideas for your own story, something that really happened to you. Since you are telling a true story,

Living Well with Chronic Pain

This class is designed for people who have a diagnosis of chronic pain, offering strategies for dealing with their symptoms. Topics include: techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, appropriate use of medications, communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals, nutrition, pacing activity and rest, and how to evaluate new treatments.

Childrens Easter Party

East Dixfield Fire Station ME

Music & Poetry Extravaganza, Sat. April 16

Skowhegan Opera House 225 Water Street (Town Hall), Skowhegan

SKOWHEGAN- WXNZ radio and the Friends of the Skowhegan Opera House host a music and poetry Extravaganza on Sat. April 16, 2 – 5 pm at the Opera House. Tickets are $20. The Extravaganza is also livestreamed on WXNZ and the Wesserunsett Arts Council’s Facebook page, recorded on Channel 11, Madison. This joint fundraiser features local musicians, Maine Poet Laureates and guest appearances by many of HooSkow’s DJs and producers.
