Storytelling workshops continue
Have you ever wished you could keep a crowd on the edge of their seats with a good story? Well now is your chance! The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has received a Discovery Grant from the Onion Foundation to host Storytelling Workshops. The workshops will be held twice a month with an opportunity to perform monthly. Come craft your story with our favorite funny man, storyteller extraordinaire and RLRS English teacher, Tim Straub. Living Well with Chronic Pain
SeniorsPlus 8 Falcon Road, LewistonThis class is designed for people who have a diagnosis of chronic pain, offering strategies for dealing with their symptoms. Topics include: techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, appropriate use of medications, communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals, nutrition, pacing activity and rest, and how to evaluate new treatments.
Town of Starks Appeals Board Hearing
The Appeals Board will have a public hearing on a request from New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) for an extension variance of their Site Plan and Shoreland Zoning Project in Starks. This variance would grant an 18 month extension until December 2, 2023. Summary: The Site Plan Review Ordinance limits the duration of the Site Plan Approvals to an initial twelve months and two 6 month extensions. NECEC Transmission, LLC would like an additional 18 month extension until December 2, 2023 due to issues beyond their control. Campfire Chronicles

Better Health Now with Diabetes
SeniorsPlus 8 Falcon Road, LewistonBetter Health with Diabetes is a free mail order toolkit for those who have or are at risk of diabetes and/or their caregivers. Participants must pre-register to receive their toolkit workshop materials and work with a certified leader via telephone or ZOOM at predetermined times either by yourself or in small groups. This process allows the participant all of the educational benefits of the Living Well with Diabetes workshop and equips them with tools to effectively manage their ongoing condition(s), all while maintaining social distancing from their home.
