New Vineyard Public Library to host ‘Tide Pools’ with Chewonki
New Vineyard Public Library 20 Lake Street, New VineyardThursday, August 24, 2023– 2:00 – 3:00 - New Vineyard Public Library Chewonki Traveling Natural History Program will present, “Tide Pools” at the New Vineyard Public Library, 20 Lake St, New Vineyard. Open to all ages, come learn about Tide Pools and the home to a variety of species whose unique adaptations allow them to maintain stability in a world that is in a constant state of change . “Using this interactive traveling display, participants will dip their hands into the three zones of Maine’s rocky intertidal ecosystem and touch some of the ocean’s most magnificent species.” FMI 652-2250
Trivia Night
The Homestead 186 Broadway, FarmingtonThe Farmington Public Library will be hosting its first-ever Trivia Night at the Homestead on Thursday, August 24, at 6:30pm. The theme of the night will be Home, Sweet Home, and all questions and answers will focus on Farmington and the surrounding area. Winning teams will receive both prizes and bragging rights! People may play either solo or as part of a team, but please no more than 6 people to a team. Attendance is $5 per person. The doors to the back room at the Homestead will open at 6pm and the game will begin at 6:30.
