This event aims to support children in our community! The Western Maine Play Museum's mission is to inspire children, connect families, and build community through exploration, learning, and play. By providing shelf-stable and easy-to-prepare meals for the weekend, the RSU 9 Food Pantry Backpack Program keeps bellies full when kids aren’t at school. Join Maine author and historian Anne B. Gass for a presentation on the women’s suffrage movement in Maine. The Wilton Historical Society is hosting a talk on April 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Wilton Farm and Home Museum on Canal Street in Wilton. Anne B. Gass is the author of “Voting Down the Rose; Florence Brooks Whitehouse and Maines Fight for Woman Suffrage. Florence Brooks Whitehouse was Anne’s great-grandmother. Florence helped to win women’s suffrage against the challenges of the conservative view of women’s roles, WWI and the 1918 influenza epidemic. Florence founded and chaired the Maine branch

Maine Fiddlehead Festival
Attendees at the Maine Fiddlehead Festival experience an eclectic collection of local farmers and food producers, craft vendors, food trucks, community non-profits, live farm animals, children's activities, and local musicians - including a performance by the Franklin County Fiddlers. The Festival kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington.

In today’s troubled world, the Vienna Union Hall is pleased to bring an incredible group of refugee girls and young women to this small town in rural Maine on May 4 at 4:00 PM. Never before has this community had the opportunity to hear the stories of struggle and hope offered with such beautiful voices in this intimate setting. These refugee girls and young women come from war-torn villages, and have escaped from bloodshed, refugee camps, famine, and political turmoil.
