“Fiber, Color and Words” a personal reflection from 10 diverse viewpoints presented by Central Maine Artists Gallery from November 14th to December 23, 2021 .  At   Ten fiber artists and one wordsmith created works around the 3 random words – winter, container and mending.  Each presents a personalized viewpoint of meaning and context through their chosen medium. The varied work of the group spans fiber techniques used in both 2 and three dimensions.  Mixed media art quilts, beading, weaving, dyed and embellished works as well as basketry can be viewed. Internationally acclaimed, award winning celtic band, Coig returns to Old South First Congregational Church, UCC on Wednesday, December 15th for the annual Christmas Benefit Concert! Our beloved Cape Breton, NS based band will bring holiday cheer as we raise money for the FAEM Ecumenial Heating Fund that will help our neighbors in Franklin County heat their homes this winter during their 2021 Maine/New England Christmas concert tour.
