Franklin County has a rich tradition of talented musicians drawing from many styles of music from Country, Folk, Americana, Celtic to Contemporary. St. Joseph’s Parish is hosting a monthly open mic night usually on the last Thursday of every month but this is adjustable. We wish to provide a venue that continues to celebrate and foster the musical talent within Franklin County. Professionals and newcomers are all welcome to listen, perform and collaborate. “Side by Each” musical couples Don and Cindy Roy and Matt Shipman and Erica Brown will perform at the Chesterville Center Union Meeting House, Friday, September 29th, at 7:00 p.m. Drawing on Don and Cindy’s deep Franco-American roots and Matt and Erica’s shared legacy and love of traditional music, the quartet will bring a lively show to the intimate setting of the 19th century Meeting House. 25th Annual Apple Pumpkin Festival
Your family, friends, and neighbors will celebrate Fall on September 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Livermore Falls Recreation Fields. Sponsored by the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce, and other local businesses, the 2023 Apple Pumpkin Festival will feature a variety of vendors and craft artisans, agricultural products, historical and educational displays, seasonal decorations, antique tractors, raffles, and plenty of food all day long! There will be local musicians entertaining throughout the day.

ArtsFarmington is pleased to sponsor this fall’s concert by Maine Mountain Chamber Music. It is a special concert that we have called: “Music from Colby”. It will be a repeat presentation of their concert given the night before at Colby in celebration of the opening of Colby’s new arts center, the Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts. The concert in Farmington will be on Sunday, Oct. 1st at 3:00 pm in Nordica Auditorium, Merrill Hall, at 224 Main Street. Join us for an evening of dancing fun and help raise funds for the Vienna Union Hall. On Saturday, October 28th, at 7 PM, we will host the Ice Out Band. Rangeley Community Chorus (Accepting New Members)
The Rangeley Community Chorus (RCC) is beginning rehearsals for the annual Holiday Performance and will be welcoming new members. All that is required is a general love for singing and ability to attend most of the rehearsals, which will be held on Friday and Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM.
