Open Mic Night – “Live at St. Joe’s!”
St. Joseph Center 133 Middle St, Farmington, MEFranklin County has a rich tradition of talented musicians drawing from many styles of music from Country, Folk, Americana, Celtic to Contemporary. St. Joseph’s Parish is hosting a monthly open mic night usually on the last Thursday of every month but this is adjustable. We wish to provide a venue that continues to celebrate and foster the musical talent within Franklin County. Professionals and newcomers are all welcome to listen, perform and collaborate. Bring your friends and family, or just come as an audience to listen. Admission is free! After taking the summer off, “Live at St. Joe’s!” will return on

Livermore Falls Recreation Field Livermore Falls, MEYour family, friends, and neighbors will celebrate Fall on September 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Livermore Falls Recreation Fields. Sponsored by the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce, and other local businesses, the 2023 Apple Pumpkin Festival will feature a variety of vendors and craft artisans, agricultural products, historical and educational displays, seasonal decorations, antique tractors, raffles, and plenty of food all day long! There will be local musicians entertaining throughout the day.

It is a special concert that we have called: “Music from Colby”. It will be a repeat presentation of their concert given the night before at Colby in celebration of the opening of Colby’s new arts center, the Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts. The concert in Farmington will be on Sunday, Oct. 1st at 3:00 pm in Nordica Auditorium, Merrill Hall, at 224 Main Street. Emery Community Arts Center at the University of Maine at FarmingtonLynn Vartan, from the west coast, has mesmerized the audience in the past here with her flawless playing on a beautiful wooden marimba. Her focus now is on playing a vibraphone, and she will be playing both solo and in duet with Bridget Convey on piano.
The Buttonwood Trio
Nordica Auditorium, Merrill Hall, UMF 224 Main Street, Farmington, MEKnown as the Buttonwood Trio, cellist Philip Carlsen, violinist Mary Hunter, pianist James Parakilas are back by popular demand following a stirring concert in Emery during the summer of 2022 with all proceeds at that time going to humanitarian aid for the children of Ukraine.
