David Mallett’s most recent release, Celebration (2016), is a 10 song collection with themes ranging from resilience to despair to the boundless promise of a new generation. Known for writing songs like the Garden Song, recorded by Pete Seeger and John Denver, Mallett, a Maine native, wrote and recorded in Nashville in the 80s.  His songs were recorded by Marty Stuart, Hal Ketchum, Emmylou Harris, Kathy Mattea, Allison Kraus, and others. Timothy Burris – “The Presence of the Past”

In the first half of the performance Timothy Burris plays baroque music from ca 1650 to 1720  on baroque lute, the second half is devoted to guitar music of the 20th through the 21st century.  The title “Presence of the Past” refers to the resurfacing of baroque and renaissance styles in the later modern guitar music. Timothy Burris is presently on the faculties of applied music of the Portland Conservatory of Music and Colby College. He received a performance degree in lute from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and holds a PhD from Duke University.  He has widely appeared
