Farmington Historical Society Meeting

Farmington Historical Society Monthly Meeting, Monday, May 23, North Church, 118 High St., 6:30 pm. No pot luck dinner, but a brief in-person meeting at the church, followed at 7 pm by a short walk to the Center Burying Ground (or Meeting House Cemetery), behind the courthouse. Deb Probert and Claudia Bell will lead a tour pointing out headstones of early Farmington citizens who were also veterans of the Revolutionary War. Members and guests — all are welcome.

Tours & Special Exhibit at Maine’s Paper & Heritage Museum

Maine's Paper & Heritage Museum will be open for tours and a HUGE garage sale, Saturday June 4, 2022 9am to 3pm. There will be a special museum exhibit of memorabilia from the Livermore Falls High School Class of 1967! Lunch of barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs and dessert from noon to 1 pm.  Event is by donation. Maine's Paper & Heritage Museum is a non-profit, volunteer organization. All donations go toward museum repairs and operating costs. Tours available anytime by appointment. The Western Maine Foothills Band will be performing in Farmington's Meeting House Park every Monday starting June 6, 2022 and ending Aug. 29, 2022 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM. June 16th, 1904 marks the day when James Joyce's novel Ulysses takes place. This day is now celebrated the world over as "Bloomsday" after the title character, fictional Leopold Bloom.

Emery Community Arts Center at the University of Maine at Farmington

Gold Leaf Senior College at UMF , art exhibit.  The exhibit features 29 local artists/Goldleaf members working in acrylics,oils, photography, wood, glass and more.  The exhibit will be at the Emery Art Center on the UMF campus.  The opening reception will be on June 17th from 5-7PM.  and will continue thru July 29th.
