The Chesterville Center Union Meeting House is pleased to once again host Chesterville Poetry Night.  Poetry authors and enthusiasts with a connection to the town of Chesterville or the surrounding area are invited to share their poems and remembrances Friday, October 20, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.  The Meeting House is located at 3 Borough Road in Chesterville, Maine.  The building is ADA accessible and light refreshments will be available.  For more information contact 207 779-0660 or visit chestervillemeetinghouse.org.

It is a too-rare conservation success story about restoring an apex predator to an ecosystem. Barn Quilt Author Talk with Saskia Reinholt

Reinholt will discuss the book Legacy: The Barn Quilt Trail in Maine's High Peaks, which takes readers on a tour of the Barn Quilt Trail and explores the background of this High Peaks Creative Council project. If there's enough interest in this presentation, there's a possibility of having a Barn Quilt Workshop at FPL in the future! The Wilton Historical Society is hosting a talk on April 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Wilton Farm and Home Museum on Canal Street in Wilton. Anne B. Gass is the author of “Voting Down the Rose; Florence Brooks Whitehouse and Maines Fight for Woman Suffrage. Florence Brooks Whitehouse was Anne’s great-grandmother. Florence helped to win women’s suffrage against the challenges of the conservative view of women’s roles, WWI and the 1918 influenza epidemic. Florence founded and chaired the Maine branch
