Gold Leaf Senior College Summer semester sign-up
Registration is now open for our summer semester. Gold Leaf is for people 50 or older. Summer programs include activities ranging from educational classes to social activities. Please go to our website at (goldleafinstitute.org) to view our offerings and sign-up.
City Lights North Summer Performing Arts Camp
Old State Theatre City Lights North 231 Broadway, Farmington20th Annual Summer Performing Arts Camp 8:00 am to 3:00 pm daily (including weekends) July 1-16 July 1 is registration: come between 8 and 12 to register and work a bit. Performance on the 16th. This program is free; it is a demanding pre-professional program in dance, singing, acting, fencing, and art. Ages 6-17. Teachers include: Russell Ferguson, Adrienne Hawkins, Braun Dapper, Hershey Bliss, Zakyia Watkins, Duggan Hill, and more. Call 207 778 9114 or text 617 543 9749 with any questions. 3 Day Fly Fishing Experience
Saddleback Lodge 976 SADDLEBACK RD, RangeleyEnjoy a 3-day fly fishing experience led by our own Dr. Bill Richards, a Master Registered Maine Guide! Day 1: Introduction to the “Art of Fly Fishing” - A little history of the Rangeley Region. An overview of fly fishing equipment and its application. Demonstration of the “overhead cast” and proper body position, fly rod grip, and mechanics and begin to practice your skills with Coach Bill. Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Day 2: Student Practice Sessions - Coach will offer feedback and constructive tips to help improve and perfect your cast. Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Day 3: Guided
