Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen Association will host a 2- day Landlocked Salmon Fishing Derby  from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 19th and 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 20th on Mooselookmeguntic Lake.The headquarters will be at River's Edge Sport Shop at 38 Carry Rd. Oquossoc, ME 04964. It is a NO LIMIT fishing derby to catch Landlocked Salmon under 16". The most landlocked salmon caught by a individual or a boat will be declared winners. Spandits! annual race at Mt. Blue High School

Spandits! will hold its annual 5k & Kid’s 1 Mile Trail Run on July 30, running the Mt. Blue High School cross country course. The 1 Mile race will be held at 6 p.m. and the 5K event will be held at 6:30 p.m. The course is located across from the High School at 128 Seamon Road in Farmington. Parking is available in the high school lot. Registration is same day only, beginning at 5 p.m. at the event. The fee is $8 for the 1 Mile and $20 for the 5K. Bat Walk!

Friday August 20 meet at the library at 7pm to enjoy a bat snack, learn some interesting facts about bats, see a bat skeleton and bat guano amongst other things,   and for the younger crowd, listen to a bat story and do a bat craft if there is time. If not, Take & Makes will be available. At around 7:45pm we will head over to Teaberry Lane, where parking will be available on the first house on the right.
