7th Annual Fat-Tire Bike Loppet

Our bike courses take advantage of the beautiful varied terrain we have available here at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center, from wide straight-a-ways to gradual ascent and descents, to some aggressive hill climb/descent opportunities. Views and possible wildlife sightings are included! Classes include 10 and 20 mile nordic groomed, 10 and 20 mile single track mix, and a 10 mile nordic untimed tour. The course winds through woodlands north of Saddleback Mountain and includes single track and nordic groomed trails. Come join the experience of celebrating Easter morning way up on Sugarloaf. Please arrive early and overdress! It’s always much colder than you think. Bring a headlamp if you have one; some people find that helpful getting to where we stand for the service. Meet at the base of the Super Quad Chair. Lift will load from 5:00-5:05 AM only Sunday morning, April 17th. No lift ticket required. You must ski/board down. Recommended for people intermediate level or above (trail can be firm and dim that time of morning). Lift may change due to weather.

FREE Kid's Bike Groups Thursday afternoons 3-5 p.m. Saddleback's bike trails are located in the South Branch area of the lower mountain. These gradually sloped trails include sections great for beginner riders. This weekly kid's program will work on a progression from flat gravel riding to eventually going down some of our green-level beginner bike park trails. The first few weeks will be spent on gravel, likely a parking lot to work on skills. This program runs from June 2nd through the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike.
