VFW Auxiliary Thanksgiving pie sale
VFW Auxiliary Thanksgiving pie sale
VFW in Jay Auxiliary will hold its annual pie sale for Thanksgiving again this year. We will be taking orders from November 7 to the 18. Call Janice at 897-2122 to place your order. Prices this year are the same as last, $15 for apple and $13 for chocolate and pumpkin. Pies will be ready for pickup from noon to 4 p.m. on November 22. Veterans Day event in Readfield
An event honoring all Veterans will be held in Readfield on Friday, Nov. 11th planned by members of Readfield’s Historical Society, Select Board, United Methodist Church and the 3rd Maine Infantry Civil War re-enactors. All are welcome to join in for this special remembrance and honoring of those who have served or currently serve in the U.S. Armed Services. Participants should gather at the Readfield Corner Cemetery, Church Road by 10 a.m. for a special remembrance of some Veterans whose memorials and graves are there. One-Room School House Reunion
The Chesterville Center Union Meeting House welcomes anyone who may have attended a one-room school house or knows someone who did to come share their stories in a casual gathering. Share your experience or just listen. Event is collaboration between Chesterville Heritage Society and the Meeting House and is free and open to the public.
