United Way is partnering with Riverside Greenhouses and B&B Bakery to offer a special Mother's Day treat this year! This year, you can order a fresh spring bouquet (large) for $25 or a small fresh spring bouquet with a 1/2 dozen macarons for $25. As in past years, you can also order a bouquet to donate to a local nursing home and we'll get them delivered by area youth. Orders accepted until May 5th. Tyngtown Club Annual Plant Sale
Join the ladies of Wilton's Tyngtown Club for our annual plant sale! Locally-dug perennials, annuals, and veggie + herb seedlings will be available at reasonable prices. Proceeds fund the Tyngtown Club's efforts in support of many valued local programs, including the Wilton Free Public Library, the Western Maine Play Museum, the Wilton Scholarship Committee, Fit Girls of Wilton, and more. The Tyngtown Club also plants and cares for the beautiful seasonal flowers you'll see in pots and window boxes along Main Street in our Town. We are hosting a barbeque chicken fundraiser to help raise money to send MBHS juniors to the Dirigo State program this June at Colby College. Dirigo State is a comprehensive, experiential learning, youth leadership program designed after the Maine State government, where all students come together to create their own town, county, and state governing bodies. Simply put, Dirigo State is a combination of Boys State and Girls State, reformulated into a unique, first for the American Legion National Family, combined youth government leadership program offering a more realistic simulation of Maine State government. You can call the church the week before the meal (778-0424) and place an order to be delivered, or you can come to the church and either sit down and eat with others or take a meal out with you.
