Living Well with Chronic Pain

This class is designed for people who have a diagnosis of chronic pain, offering strategies for dealing with their symptoms. Topics include: techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, appropriate use of medications, communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals, nutrition, pacing activity and rest, and how to evaluate new treatments.

UMF - Roberts Learning Center - Room 101 Main Street, Farmington

Western Maine Audubon invites the general public to join us on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00 pm for a live presentation titled “Gardening to Please the Birds and the Bees.” The talk will be given by Maine State Horticulturist, Gary Fish and will be held in Room 101 of the Roberts Learning Center at UMF. Until further notice, masks are required by the University. Social distancing is encouraged as well, and we request that all attendees be vaccinated.
