Pickwick Club book discussion
Break up your enforced staycation and join the Pickwick Club for a three-part VIRTUAL discussion of Charles Dickens’s Bleak House. The meetings are on Saturdays, February 27, April 24, and June 26, from 12:30–2:30 p.m. In normal times we meet at the Auburn Public Library, our kind sponsor, but during these “other” times we meet via Zoom. The Pickwick Club is Maine’s Charles Dickens Reading and Appreciation Group; we also explore other great Victorian writers and all things Victoriana in general. Benefit Dinner
Chesterville Town Office 409 Dutch Gap Road, Chesterville, ME, United StatesThere will be a benefit dinner for Kathy and Joey Gregory who lost their home and possessions to fire. It will be a "Take Out" Dinner only at the Chesterville Town Office at 409 Dutch Gap Road in Chesterville on Saturday, February 27, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The meal will consist of baked beans, 2 hot dogs, coleslaw, homemade biscuit, and a slice of pie for dessert. We are asking for donations of $10.00 per meal. Additional donations would be greatly appreciated. Pre-orders are required. The great news is, no one needs to feel alone through their bereavement. Coffee & Comfort offers a safe place where one can receive the grief support they are seeking. Due to current public health concerns, the group will meet over Zoom versus in-person. Zoom phone and video-conferencing information will be provided to registrants.

Better Health Now with Diabetes is a self-guided, evidence-based program. The program is designed to help participants deal with chronic conditions with a focus on diabetes management. Topics include: techniques to deal with the symptoms of diabetes, fatigue, pain, hyper/hypoglycemia, stress, depression, anger, fear and frustration; appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength and endurance; healthy eating, appropriate use of medication; and working with healthcare providers. Participants of the workshop will work individually prior to 1-1 facilitator or small group weekly check-ins. Participants will receive the toolkit materials in the mail prior to starting the workshop.

26th Annual Legendary Rangeley Lakes Loppet March 6, 2021 8:30 AM Rangeley Lakes Trails Center, 524 Saddleback Mtn. Road On the menu are the 25K Burt Kettle Classic, 25K and 50K freestyle races, and a 25K untimed touring! Our 25K loop is nice mix of wide, rolling, straight sections and classic New England Nordic trails that wind through native forestland located at the foot of the majestic Saddleback Mountain.
