Bonney Woods Corporation annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Bonney Woods Corporation will take place on Tuesday, June 1 at 7 p.m. at Old North Church. The Bonney Woods Corporation is a non-profit organization that manages a 190 acre, multi-use trail network 0.5 miles from Farmington’s downtown and national historic district. These include trails in Bonney Woods, Flint Woods, Horn Woods, Village Woods, and Willow Springs. The Bonney Woods Corporation is Maine’s oldest non-profit. Formed in 1909, it was Maine’s first land conservation organization. The mission is to provide public parks for recreation for the people of Franklin County and its visitors. We maintain

Wilton 128 Weld Street, Wilton, ME, United States

A book sale to benefit the Wilton Public Library will be held Saturday, June 12, from 9 am to 3 pm, at 128 Weld St., Wilton (enter at the Leap parking lot). This is a large well organized sale with books of many genres and subjects and for all ages, plus audio books and DVDs. Visits will be limited to 30 minutes and a limited number of people admitted at a time.  Face coverings will be required.  To reserve a time slot, call the Library at 645-4831.

ArtsFarmington will be hosting the Maine Squeeze, a six-member accordion ensemble on June 12 at 6:30 at Titcomb Ski Lodge in West Farmington. People can pre-register at artsfarmington.org at $10/ticket. Those under 18 and UMF students are free. Tickets will also be available at the “door” but pre-registration is preferable. Maine Squeeze has been squeezing together since 1996 throughout the state at fairs, festivals, concerts, private and community events. Their music, drawn from around the world as well as original tunes, showcases the versatility of the accordion from high energy, foot tapping tunes to mesmerizing numbers that emphasize the drama and beauty of the instrument. Mooselookmeguntic Landlocked Salmon Fishing Derby

Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen Association will host a 2- day Landlocked Salmon Fishing Derby  from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 19th and 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 20th on Mooselookmeguntic Lake.The headquarters will be at River's Edge Sport Shop at 38 Carry Rd. Oquossoc, ME 04964. It is a NO LIMIT fishing derby to catch Landlocked Salmon under 16". The most landlocked salmon caught by a individual or a boat will be declared winners. This complies with the new management plan of MDIFW. We are working with IFW to help make the Salmon fishing
