Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad

Trains will depart Sanders station on the hour from 11 AM through 3 PM. You are free to depart on one train and return on a later train should you wish to make use of our picnic grove or simply spend more time exploring the roundhouse and other nearby buildings preserved from the original railroad. Public “Take Out/Pickup” meal

On Saturday, September 18, the Masonic Group at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton, Me., will be offering a Public "Take Out/Pickup" meal from 5 until 6:00 pm. The meal will be Chicken, stuffing, Potato, Vegetables, Rolls, and Apple Pie. $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for those under 12. FIX-A-BIKE Bike maintenance Workshop for Adults & Teens

The Readfield Community Library and the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library in Mt. Vernon are partnering to offer patrons and area residents an opportunity to participate in a free "Fix-A-Bike" Workshop, with instruction provided by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine. This 2-hour hands-on workshop, open to teens and adults, will cover routine maintenance, roadside repairs, general bicycle mechanics, and how to perform a basic tune-up. Please bring your bike along! All tools and instruction will be provided. Two workshop times/locations will be offered on Wednesday, September 22. From 2:30-4:30pm, a workshop will take place outdoors at the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library
