Color, Fiber and Words
“Fiber, Color and Words” a personal reflection from 10 diverse viewpoints presented by Central Maine Artists Gallery from November 14th to December 23, 2021 . At Ten fiber artists and one wordsmith created works around the 3 random words – winter, container and mending. Each presents a personalized viewpoint of meaning and context through their chosen medium. The varied work of the group spans fiber techniques used in both 2 and three dimensions. Mixed media art quilts, beading, weaving, dyed and embellished works as well as basketry can be viewed. The group show is comprised of works from the
Christmas Eve Service is Zooming!
Christmas Eve is a time laden with traditions and special memories. For many, the traditional candlelight Christmas Eve service at their local church has been a special way of getting to the heart of the season. Due to the high COVID transmission rate in our area, Sugarloaf Christian Ministry will be offering their Christmas Eve Service on Zoom on Friday, December 24th at 7pm. ZoomSpokeswomen: a facilitated peer group designed to help female entrepreneurs become more persuasive and effective communicators. How does it work? Through this highly interactive 8-week online program, participants will develop their own personal style by deepening their understanding of persuasive tools and practicing storytelling through a range of speaking scenarios.
