Public Supper

On Saturday, May 21, 2022, there will be a Public Pickup /Takeout Supper at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton, Maine , from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. The menu will be Baked Roast Beef, Potatoes, Vegetable, Rolls and Pumpkin Pie Crunch. The price will be $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for those under 12. Home deliveries are available in the Wilton and Farmington area for $10.00 per meal. Reservations by Thursday, May 19th by 5:00 pm would be most appreciated. Katahdin Valley boys

The Vienna Union Hall announced the Katahdin Valley Boys one of Maines’s premiere bluegrass bands will return to the Vienna Union Hall, May 21, 2022 at 7 PM. The group plays traditional bluegrass music throughout the State of Maine and New England area. The band consists of four members who all rotate singing lead and provide beautiful, tight, harmonies and smooth solos. The Katahdin Valley Boys were honored as recipients of the “Bluegrass Band of the Year” award for 2012 by The Maine Country Music Association and in 2008, 2009 and 2011 by the Maine Academy of Country Music. Farmington Historical Society Meeting

Farmington Historical Society Monthly Meeting, Monday, May 23, North Church, 118 High St., 6:30 pm. No pot luck dinner, but a brief in-person meeting at the church, followed at 7 pm by a short walk to the Center Burying Ground (or Meeting House Cemetery), behind the courthouse. Deb Probert and Claudia Bell will lead a tour pointing out headstones of early Farmington citizens who were also veterans of the Revolutionary War. Members and guests — all are welcome.

Annual plant sale to be held in Phillips

K - 4 students invite one and all to come to their Annual Plant Sale at the Phillips Elementary School on Route 4 in Phillips and "help our gardens grow". The sale will be open from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25. Items include tomatoes, peppers, herbs, flowers, and more. All profits are used towards further development of the school's gardening program.
