After two years off because of COVID-19, The Bates Clean Sweep sale returns this Sunday, June 12. The college’s annual indoor "garage sale" gathers thousands of items left behind by departing students and offers them to the public at prices far below what products cost new. This year’s sale will include clothing, electronics, furniture, appliances, athletics and outdoor equipment, and countless other items. Proceeds from sale benefit local nonprofit organizations Safe Voices and John F. Murphy Homes. Safe Voices is a domestic violence resource center serving survivors in Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford Counties, and John F. Murphy Homes provides life-enriching

The Western Maine Foothills Band will be performing in Farmington's Meeting House Park every Monday starting June 6, 2022 and ending Aug. 29, 2022 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM. We are a traditional band that plays marches, waltz's, big band, and several other choice music. We welcome anyone to join us at any time through out the summer. You can find us on Facebook.

Foothills Land Conservancy Annual Meeting

Foothills Land Conservancy will hold its annual meeting from 6:30 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 15 at Academy Hill School Cafeteria in Wilton. During the first part, we will conduct our annual business meeting. Election of officers and board members will take place.  The second part of the meeting will be a presentation by Dr. Julia Daly, Associate Professor of Geology at the University of Maine at Farmington.  Dr. Daly deployed and maintains the monitoring buoy on Wilson Lake.
