The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will be holding two simultaneous Father Daughter Dances again this year on Saturday March 11th 2023 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. One dance will take place in Jay at the Spruce Mountain Middle School Gym, and the other will take place in the more northern area of Franklin County in Strong at the Day Mountain Middle School Gym. Anyone wishing to purchase advance tickets may do so beginning mid-February at the Children’s Task Force in Farmington, the Flower Barn in Jay, the White Elephant in Strong, and/or Edmunds Market in Kingfield. The course winds through woodlands north of Saddleback Mountain and includes single track and Nordic groomed trails. Views and possible wildlife sightings are included! This 12-week cohort provides technical guidance to 10-12 women of color who are either at the pre-start or very early stages of their entrepreneurial journey. Each 90 minute, in-person session will be facilitated by Grace Mo-Phillips, WBC Business Advisor. Through practical business training and peer discussions, participants help one another define and refine their business ideas, identify where the opportunities and challenges lie, and develop strategies to overcome barriers in starting or growing their business.
