Families are invited to join the free 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Jay Niles Memorial Library. The library will have a drop-in registration party on Saturday, September 9th from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Any child who attends will be entered to win a prize. The library will have a visit from a therapy dog as well. If families can’t make it to the registration party, you can sign-up at the library anytime. Meet & Greet with Farmington's Emergency Services - Representatives from the local police, fire and paramedics. Come and check out the Farmington Fire Department Ladder truck, Farmington Police Department police cruiser and Northstar's Ambulance. There will also be bounce houses, games, snow cones and popcorn. Family Focused Yoga is a new community activity for families. Every Saturday morning at the West Farmington Grange Hall, their is yoga & mindfulness classes for families. From 9:00-10:00 there is Kinderflow, for ages 3-6. From 10:30-11:30, there is Giggles & Grace, for ages 7-10. Ages can vary above and below, these are just suggested age groups. During this time, parents and children will interact together using their imagination through music, movement, mindfulness games, and of course yoga!
