FREE Kid's Bike Groups Thursday afternoons 3-5 p.m. Saddleback's bike trails are located in the South Branch area of the lower mountain. These gradually sloped trails include sections great for beginner riders. This weekly kid's program will work on a progression from flat gravel riding to eventually going down some of our green-level beginner bike park trails. The first few weeks will be spent on gravel, likely a parking lot to work on skills. This program runs from June 2nd through the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike. Free Kids' Nature Walk Saturdays 2-4 p.m. Join us on our Kids Nature Walk through the South Branch section of Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley, Maine. Kids can begin to explore the Maine woods and learn about the amazing ecosystem we have here. On Sunday July 3rd, the park will come to life with activities, food and entertainment for all ages, all provided by our area nonprofit organizations. This will be a true family day packed with fun. Sunday Morning Common Loon Paddles on Saddleback Lake Sunday mornings 8:30-10:30 a.m. Take a guided kayak trip with NICK LEADLEY to observe loons of the Rangeley Lakes Region. Nick is a specialized bird photographer and loon enthusiast. He has been photographing common loons and native wildlife for 20 years plus. Hatha Yoga with Kristina Sunday mornings from 10-11 a.m. at the Base Lodge Meaning “Sun-Moon”, Hatha Yoga aims to bring together opposites in your life and create balance. Breathwork and postures work to align your body and allow energy to flow freely. This class is offered on Sunday mornings at the Saddleback Lodge. If the weather permits, some classes will be held on the deck. Kristina has been practicing yoga since 2007 and completed yoga teacher training through Boston Yoga School in 2016. Sunday Geocaching Sundays from 10 AM - 12 PM Enjoy a Sunday Funday outdoors for the kids! Geocaching has finally made it to Saddleback Mountain. Geocaching uses GPS and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches" at specific, marked locations. Come drop the kids off for an exciting treasure hunt! Geocaching is a great activity to get outside, explore the Maine woods, and find some cool souvenirs to bring home. Carrabassett Valley – High up on Sugarloaf Mountain, an outdoor Amphitheater nicknamed The AMP, will be the site of summer worship services conducted by Sugarloaf Christian Ministry. The AMP is located just West of the top of the Super Quad chair lift and has stunning views, benches for participants, a platform for leaders, and a fantastic sound system. The Western Maine Foothills Band will be performing in Farmington's Meeting House Park every Monday starting June 6, 2022 and ending Aug. 29, 2022 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM.
