Next Level Vision is a series of virtual vision board workshops designed to help you create the business and life you desire. Facilitator Mallika Malhotra will guide you through a creative, thought-provoking experience that will give you and a group of peers space to dream and permission to think big. Sessions are October 6th 9:00am-10:30am and October 7th 9:00am-10:00am Each workshop will take place over 2 days. The first day will be a 2-hour “design day” where we’ll be in creation mode. The second day will be a 1-hour “dream and declare” meeting to share insights and verbalize your vision.

Dr. Stephen Grandchamp (Assistant Professor of Literature and Digital Humanities at UMF) will screen and discuss four critical music videos from the career of David Bowie (including “Life on Mars?”) in order to initiate the New Commons Project’s exploration of his life and art.

Norlands Civil War Weekend

Washburn Norlands Living History Center 290 Norlands Road, Livermore, ME

The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore is hosting its Civil War Living History Weekend on October 9 and 10, 2021.  This family-friendly event features a wide variety of demonstrations, exhibits, and engaging activities remembering the activities of the Civil War. It is co-organized by the 3rd Maine Company A and 15th Alabama Company G to benefit Maine’s premier living history farm and museum. Union and Confederate military and civilian reenactors from across New England will be camped on the grounds. Walk through the encampments to experience what life was like for soldiers. Cavalry units are also planning to attend.

Model Train Display by Great Falls Model RR Club, Museum Tours and Yard Sale at Maine’s Paper & Heritage Museum!

Maine's Paper & Heritage Museum 22 Chuch Street, Livermore Falls, ME

Join us as we welcome the Great Falls Model Railroad Club to Livermore Falls. They will have model trains on display.  We will also have a special exhibit featuring a model train crafted by Ralph Smith of Jay, generously donated to the museum.  In addition to learning more about trains, come tour the museum and check out our Yard Sale!  Event is free, but donations are appreciated as we raise funds to repair the museum roof and continue operations!
