Western Maine Foothills Band Concert in the park series
The Western Maine Foothills Band will be performing in Farmington's Meeting House Park every Monday starting June 6, 2022 and ending Aug. 29, 2022 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM. We are a traditional band that plays marches, waltz's, big band, and several other choice music. We welcome anyone to join us at any time through out the summer. You can find us on Facebook.

This weekly kid's program will work on a progression from flat gravel riding to eventually going down some of our green-level beginner bike park trails. The first few weeks will be spent on gravel, likely a parking lot to work on skills. This program runs from June 2nd through the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike. Rentals are available as well. Riders must be 8+ years old. Pick up and drop off

ArtsFarmington is pleased to present a Benefit Concert by the newly formed Buttonwood Trio playing works by Fauré and Babajanian. Admission is by donation, with all proceeds going to Ukrainian humanitarian relief. The concert will be August 7 at 3:00 pm in the Emery Community Arts Center at the University of Maine at Farmington. This will be the debut concert for the Buttonwood Trio. It consists of three old friends and former Maine college music professors who joined together in retirement to launch this new ensemble. These gradually sloped trails include sections great for beginner riders. This weekly kid's program will work on a progression from flat gravel riding to eventually going down some of our green-level beginner bike park trails. The first few weeks will be spent on gravel, likely a parking lot to work on skills. This program runs from June 2nd through the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike. Vernon Community Center, the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library is hosting a talk by Rob and Holly Groom (retired doctor and teacher from Fayette) who spend 10 months each year in Kenya helping to save lives and better the lives of children and women by providing medical care and teaching sewing skills. Come hear them talk about their many experiences doing this work in Kenya.
