The talk, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Thomas Auditorium, Preble Hall, at UMF. Chuck will be sharing wildlife tracking and species ID tips and techniques that he has used over the years while doing winter wildlife tracking surveys for lynx, bobcat, pine marten, and fisher. The Farmington Historical Society is proud to host a special remembrance event, “No Higher Service: Franklin County Maine’s Fallen Soldiers of WWI,” which was created by local writer and amateur historian and genealogist, Glenn Miller. Androscoggin ostomy support group is for people who have had or will have ostomy surgery. We meet informally to learn, share, and ask questions. Join the Rangeley community for the 36th Annual Lighting of the Giving Tree at the Town Park on Saturday, November 25th at 4:30 PM. The lighting of the tree opens the holiday season! Arriving on the Rangeley Fire Department Truck will be Santa Claus, the Angel and Elf. The children are randomly selected from the RLRS first grade coloring page submissions. There will be music and a sing-along. The Giving Tree of Rangeley is an all volunteer, all donation, non-profit providing support to families and seniors in our community.

Farmington Rotary is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a special 25th anniversary edition of the Festival of Trees on Chester Greenwood Day this year - December 2. The event, featuring more than 40 spectacular trees and wreaths, will take place at the Farmington Community Center with doors open for viewing beginning at 9 am. There will be music, food, and festivities throughout the day, including a raffle tree and a model railroad display. FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington Community Chorus, made up of 50+ community members and UMF students, will hold a concert at the Old South Church in Farmington on Sunday, December 3. The chorus will perform the choral works of Z. Randall Stroupe, Felix Mendelsson, Thomas Tallis, Roger Emmerson and culminate with John Rutter’s Gloria featuring organ, brass and percussion.
