Spokeswomen: a facilitated peer group designed to help female entrepreneurs become more persuasive and effective communicators for a wide range of situations. How does it work? Through this highly interactive 8-week online program, participants will gain clarity and develop their own personal style of speaking about their business. Gass is the author of “Voting Down the Rose; Florence Brooks Whitehouse and Maines Fight for Woman Suffrage. Florence Brooks Whitehouse was Anne’s great-grandmother. Florence helped to win women’s suffrage against the challenges of the conservative view of women’s roles, WWI and the 1918 influenza epidemic. Florence founded and chaired the Maine branch

Trinity United Methodist Church is having Baked Bean Buffet Suppers every second Saturday of the month. Starting in March on the 9th, all the way through the 2024 year until Dec. 14th. We start serving at 4:30 and end at 6:00. There are always red hot dogs, homemade baked beans, a large variety of casseroles, various salads, several choices for desserts and fresh homemade biscuits. Our fees are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for young adults 12-4 years, and free for ages 4 and under. All proceeds go to our general fund to support our ministry. Thank you for your support.

Farmington’s 11th Annual Earth Day Volunteer Cleanup - April 22 Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate in the 11th annual Farmington Earth Day Cleanup on April 22nd. The cleanup will be held from 1-3pm rain or shine (hopefully shine). Volunteers meet at the Pierce House at 204 Main Street, next to the Post Office, any time between 1 and 3pm. Bags and gloves will be provided. This four-session course will introduce students to Sgraffito, a decoration technique for leatherhard ceramics, and is ideal for beginners & intermediate ceramicists looking to refresh and expand handbuilding methods taught in the intro classes. You're invited to the Gathering Place at the Community Center on the corner of Church and Main St in Jay. Join your friends and neighbors for companionship, simple good food, and fun every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. You'll find the Gathering Place on the first floor of the Community Building across from St. Rose of Lima Church. Enter through the Church St entrance. Free hot soups, chilis, and stews along with hot and cold beverages. Play a game of cards or a board game. Watch a movie. Or just catch up with old and new friends. Consider volunteering. Children’s Art Project
Artwork depicting favorite animals will take shape at a kid-centered “ANIMAL ART” workshop at the Chesterville Town Hall, Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Facilitated by local artist Susan Schell, the workshop will provide paper and supplies and welcomes families and kids of all ages. Pictures will be matted either to take home or to display at the Chesterville Center Union Meeting House for the “Animal Tales” open mic event Saturday May 11.
