1 min read

An electronic waste drop-off at the Temple Town Hall parking lot on Saturday proved popular. It was the first time the Town of Temple held what turned out to be a major recycling event, with some 50 families participating. They dropped-off 36 computer monitors and 31 TVs to Ron Slater of the Sandy River Recycling Association who was there to pick them up and deliver them to a recycling facility in New Hampshire where they would be responsibly recycled, as the screens of the monitors and the TVs contain both contain lead, a toxic metal. Residents also dropped off “towers” (computer operating systems), printers, stereos, and tube fluorescent light bulbs.
