EAST WILTON – Mt. Blue High School student Marina West of Farmington, gives it her best shot during the National Honor Society’s benefit Bowl-a-thon held today at the Meadow Lanes bowling alley. Many students are participating in the event with many more contributing to raise funds for the Farmington and Wilton food pantries, said Sam Cohen, president of Mt. Blue’s Honor Society. Below, West reacts to her bowling ball’s trajectory.

UPDATE: 47 people participated in today’s event, raising $2,263 for the Wilton and Farmington food banks. Amanda Hall raised the most money, with over $300 in pledges.

“Even though the minimum donation required to bowl was $15, the average donation per person was over $48,” Cohen said. “An indication of the generosity of the donors and the enthusiasm of the bowlers.”
