Children’s Festival fun for the whole family

1 min read

Logan Tardif, 4, of Waterville, manipulates a cow puppet in a puppet show at the 26th Annual Children’s Festival held at the University of Maine at Farmington’s student center today. The festival, sponsored by the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, is being held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers say it’s an opportunity for families to break up the winter blues and get out and enjoy a day of free activities. Activities include face painting, sand tables, making necklaces and, of course, valentines, as today is Valentine’s Day.

Ostpuppen Duncan, 4, of New Sharon, walks along a balance beam at the Children’s Festival today. His mother Nicole said he is a skier and has really good balance because of it.

Sophia Bilodeau, 6, of Temple, makes a valentine at the Everyone’s Resource Depot table at the 26th Annual Children’s Festival today held at UMF. Sophia is accompanied by her brother Luke, and parents Dan and Beth. The festival runs until 3 p.m. today.
