Farmington blood drive underway at hospital today

1 min read

American Red Cross Collection Specialist Amanda Conant oversees her patient, Connie Reynolds, of the Farmington Emblem Club, at a blood drive being held at the Bass Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Organizers say that they have the personnel and machines to handle more than 150 guests today, and walk-ins can come down at any time.

Red Sox shirts will be given to all participants, and those giving blood even have a chance to win Red Sox tickets, according to American Red Cross Donor Recruitment Manager Paul Flanagan. The 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. part of the schedule is particularly good for walk-ins.

“We have got a lot of machines and a lot of techs,” Farmington Emblem Club’s Shannon Smith said. “So people can come in any time.”

Farmington Emblem Club is sponsoring the drive. Flanagan said that the sponsors help advertise the event and recruit participants.

I see him at many places and nvere knew his last name.
He is a very polite man and should make you proud.
