1 min read

FARMINGTON – Two members of the state Legislature will meet with residents tonight, at an informational meeting on the low-flight training proposal which would affect Franklin County.

Sen. Walter Gooley (R – Farmington) and Rep. Thomas Saviello (U – Wilton) are hosting the meeting, which will start at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Farmington town office. The topic will be a proposal by the Air National Guard, which wants to let their pilots fly as low as 500 feet throughout most of the county.

Currently, those pilots can train that low only in pre-designated “flight corridors.” More information about the proposal can be found here.

The meeting is open to the public.
